Some also call this type of bike Endurance, Granfondo or Back Road and everyone has a different idea of it. We deliberately designed the veloheld.icon bike to be more comfortable for long days in the saddle, even on bad roads. The geometry is not too sporty compared to classic road bikes thanks to the longer head tube and the slightly shorter top tube, and the up to 34 mm wide tires allow you to glide quickly over rough roads and paths. All this in combination with the comfortable and sustainable frame material steel (double end-reinforced tubes made of heat-treated 25CrMo4 from the traditional Italian brand Columbus) means “Allroad” to us. This also makes it perfect for bikepacking tours on different road surfaces. And that is also the reason why it has disc brakes – the braking performance with additional weight on the bike is clearly superior to the “old” rim brakes.
