Action! What can you expect?
On Saturday, August 7, 2021, we welcome you to this year’s “gravel” ride. Due to the pandemic, we want to take it a little easier and invite you to a relaxed tour in the north-eastern Dresden area with a barbecue afterwards directly at our showroom.
In the morning we start at 10 a.m. for two tours, the length and speed of which you can choose yourself. This means you can ride a “race” or simply enjoy the beautiful route as a tour.
The destination is then again the start at our veloheld showroom in Dresden. To help you regain your strength, the barbecue will be fired up in the evening and various classic and vegetarian delicacies and beer will be served.
The routes – what do you have to be prepared for?
As the name suggests, there will be a lot of “gravel” but occasional road sections cannot be avoided on the “epic” routes through Upper Lusatia. At the checkpoint you can again decide whether you still have enough energy for the long stretch or would prefer to sit at the barbecue a little earlier. The routes are still secret and will be communicated to you shortly before the event. Only this much can be revealed: The short route will be approx. 80 – 90 km long and the long route approx. 130 – 140 km.
Your equipment – what do you need to take with you?
Wie die Ankündigung schon verrät, benötigt Ihr bestenfalls ein schickes “Gravel-Rad“ mit mindestens 32 mm Reifenbreite. Wir empfehlen so um die 40 mm. Damit seid Ihr perfekt für die unterschiedlichen Untergründe der Strecke vorbereitet und kommt auch schnell voran. Natürlich könnt Ihr auch mit einem Cross-Bike oder MTB mitfahren. Nicht empfehlen würden wir Muttis Stadtrad oder ein Rennrad. Zum Rad benötigt Ihr auch noch Ersatzschlauch, Pumpe, Flickzeug und Werkzeug für die Reparatur unterwegs. Wer länger fahren möchte, sollte auch noch Beleuchtung mit sich führen.
Zusätzlich benötigt Ihr einen GPS-fähigen Radcomputer, um die Strecken zu finden, die wir Euch in der Woche vor dem Event zusenden werden. Wer solch ein Gerät nicht hat, kann sich natürlich auch mit Mitfahrern zusammenschließen, um gemeinsam die Tour zu bewältigen.
Desweiteren müsst Ihr geeignete Bekleidung für alle möglichen Wette-Szenarien parat haben und natürlich auch ein paar Snacks und genügend Getränke für unterwegs. Das Essen am Abend ist natürlich im Startpreis inklusive.
Und natürlich, sicherlich müssen wir es nicht erwähnen, ist ein Helm Pflicht!

After submitting your form data, we will send you an invoice for the participation fee, which you can send us by bank transfer. After successful transfer we will send you the final confirmation of participation.

The schedule – these are the most important points?
- Registration is possible until 23.07.2021 and is binding after receipt of the participation fee of 30 EUR.
- Start is on 07.08.2021 from approx. 10:00 a.m. directly at our veloheld showroom
- Registration is open from 9:00 a.m.
- There will be a checkpoint on the route where you can decide whether to take the long or short route
- the barbecue (with and without meat) will be burning from about 17:00 and the beer will be cold
- For this we have included a meal and a drink (beer, wine, water or similar) in the starting price. Of course, you can purchase additional food and drinks for a small fee.

By submitting your registration, you declare your participation at your own risk and peril and accept the following points:
- This is not a race, but a private ride without timekeeping and rankings!
- All participants are adequately insured (personal liability insurance and accident insurance)
- As we will also be on public roads, all participants are obliged to observe the applicable traffic regulations and to behave considerately towards other road users!
- The organizer reserves the right to interrupt or cancel the event due to bad weather or force majeure and accepts no liability for any damage caused as a result. There will be no refund of the entry fee. In the event of non-participation, interruption of the event or premature termination at the participant’s own request, there is no right to reimbursement of the participation fee or other compensation.
- Wearing a helmet is compulsory!
- Liability for damage to material or third parties lies with the individual participant!
- The participant agrees that his/her personal data (name, address, e-mail, telephone number and date of birth) may be used for the purpose of automated data processing. Photos, video and sound recordings in which I can be seen during the event may be used by the organizer for publication on the website or in print and other media for PR and advertising purposes without payment.
