Even at first glance, it’s clear that this veloheld.alleyX Tourist isn’t trying to be inconspicuous. The frame comes in RAL 8029 pearl copper gloss, a color that looks a little different in different light and gives the bike a warm, almost industrial look.
In combination with the black components, this creates exactly the balance we love in custom builds: striking. The fenders pick up on the frame color and ensure a perfectly harmonious overall look, while the decor, lighting system, and attachments in black remain deliberately understated.
Shimano Alfine 11 Di2 and Gates – low maintenance on the road
Underneath the surface, technology is at work that has one primary goal: to function reliably.
The Shimano Alfine 11 Di2 brings electronic precision to a hub gear system that offers just the right mix of robustness and comfort for many everyday and touring bikes. Gears are shifted using GRX hydraulic brake and shift levers.
Added to this is a Gates CDX belt drive, which makes maintenance much easier. No chain oil, hardly any wear and tear, and pleasantly quiet running – ideal for those who prefer riding to constantly tinkering with their bike.
Ready for everyday use and the road
The name “Tourist” is no coincidence with this setup. With 50 mm mudguards, a SON lighting system, and the Tubus Vega luggage rack, the bike is ready from the start to do more than just short trips.
Commuting through the city is just as easy as a longer tour on the weekend. Attach your bags – no problem thanks to the luggage rack and additional mounting points on the frame – turn on your lights and off you go.
Cycling should feel this uncomplicated.
Tires that can do both
Schwalbe G-One Allround 40 mm tires are fitted, covering exactly the range in which many riders travel. Fast enough for asphalt, comfortable enough for gravel and dirt roads.
The Bronze Skin sidewalls pick up on the warm copper color of the frame and add a detail that you might only notice at second glance.
