INTROCyclingworld 2026 is now behind us  and what a three days it was. Lots of conversations, even more impressions, and bikes that really sparked a reaction among visitors. Exactly the right people in the right place  that’s what makes a good trade fair. And Düsseldorf has delivered once again. We had plenty on offer  but Tom and Daniel will be taking a closer look at these four highlights for you.

The veloheld.iron MTB 2026

That was a minor debut.

We’ve given the veloheld.iron a subtle revamp for 2026. New dropouts, new cable routing, and the frame geometry has also received a minor update with a longer reach. What hasn’t changed: the frame is still built in our own frame workshop in Leipzig.

The bike on display at the trade fair was the final prototype, which we’ve made a little more exclusive with the special colour “Cypress Green Metallic” and silver-polished components, to show you just how beautifully you can build the bike. As production of the frame won’t start for another 2–3 weeks, we’re still looking for the right colour for the production model. Do you have any ideas? Let us know!

Once we’ve sorted that out, you’ll soon find the new veloheld.iron in our online shop.

The new veloheld.icon Allroad

Sometimes you just fancy a bit of speed!

The veloheld.icon Allroad is our sportiest bike. Built for anyone who doesn’t want to choose between “fast” and “comfortable”. A steel frame made from the finest Italian Columbus tubes, hand-built in our own workshop in Leipzig, with integrated cable routing for electronic road groupsets and fitted with tyres up to 40 mm wide (not 35 mm, as stated in the video) – perfectly equipped for rough “roads”!

The standard colour is called Illusion Merlot. A dark, deep red with plenty of depth and emotion. But of course, if you want a different colour, you can have it as usual as a wet paint finish or powder coating. You can also choose the spec yourself, of course. This way, you’ll get your very own customised veloheld.icon Allroad Bike.

The model is available as a complete bike and also as a frame set for you to build yourself.

Tom’s veloheld.iconX Pinion – Leipzig to Tokyo

This bike has a story to tell.

Tom is cycling from Leipzig to Tokyo. Not as an idea, not as a plan – just because. And his bike for the journey? A veloheld.iconX with an electronic Pinion gearbox, a raw finish and pink details. Hand-built in our workshop in Leipzig and coated in Dresden.

The electronic Pinion gearbox makes the iconX a faithful travelling companion – low-maintenance, reliable and ready to shift at the touch of a finger for whatever happens between Leipzig and Tokyo. With every scratch, the raw finish tells a little more of the journey’s story. The pink details make it clear: this is Tom’s bike. No other.

Anyone who was at the stand, saw the bike and met Tom in person will immediately understand why we built this bike for him. Sometimes you don’t just build a bike, but the perfect tool for an adventure – for Tom’s adventure.

Your adventure might look different – but the veloheld.iconX Pinion is available for you too. In your colour, with your components, your details. As always with veloheld: customised, hand-built, yours.

veloheld.iconX with PI ROPE wheelset

When two manufacturers are on the same wavelength, you can tell from the end result. The veloheld.iconX was on display in Düsseldorf fitted with a PI ROPE wheelset, and we didn’t hold back: handcrafted wheels from Chemnitz, textile spokes made from Vectran, and a weight that makes you pause for a moment.

PI ROPE makes wheels you want to touch. Not because they look like works of art, but because you can tell someone has put thought into them. Founded in 2017 at Chemnitz University of Technology with a small team, but with plenty of ideas. The Vectran spokes are made from a material that is actually at home in the aerospace industry. Lightweight, tensile, dimensionally stable. And frankly: a real eye-catcher.

You know the iconX. Steel, European manufacturing, as much character as a bike can have. What many saw for the first time at Cyclingworld is where things lead when you make no compromises in the build. PI ROPE is now our partner, and the wheelset is available on request and to order.

So, if you’re building an iconX and don’t want to skimp on the wheels, you now have an answer. A very good one.

Our conclusion

Three days in Düsseldorf, and we’re heading home with our heads full. New impressions, new ideas, lots of conversations that have helped us grow. It’s always lovely to see how many people are genuinely interested in what we build – and even lovelier when you see familiar faces you’ve known for a long time, or meet new people you hope you won’t forget in a hurry. That’s exactly why we do it.
To everyone who was there in Düsseldorf: thank you!
And if you have any questions about the bikes: just drop us a line. We look forward to hearing from you.

See you next time – on the gravel or at another stand.
