We continue on January 14, 2017 with the second race and our trip to the Eastern Bloc – Prague is calling! We are going on a class trip to our friends in Prague for the “Praha Pivo Cross”. What can you expect? Our American-Czech friend Cory and his friends have found a great route in the center of Prague. In all likelihood, there will be a classic cross-country race on Saturday shortly after midday. Weather permitting, a ride with Cory is planned for the following Sunday. He will take us on a fine gravel or cross tour.

If you would like to travel with us by bus from Dresden to Prague on Saturday, the January 14, 2017 and back on Sunday, January January 15, 2017, can contact us until 30.12. Write an email in 2016. The cost of the return trip is €40. We can also organize overnight accommodation in a hostel on request.

How does the registration process work? After your registration on this page you will receive all information about the race by email 2-3 days before the race. Register quickly, because the starting places are limited to max. 60 per race. There is no entry fee or limit for the girls this year. On race day you can register on site and pay the entry fee.

This year, drinks and snacks will be available during the races for a small fee. If you know another beer sponsor, please let us know 🙂

In English: And so it continues on January 14, 2017 with our trip into the Eastern Bloc – Praha is calling! Veloheld’s Cyclo Cross Cup will go on a “school field trip” to our friends in Prague for the next stop on this season’s seventh year of racing – “Praha Pivo Cross”. What are you to expect? Our American-Czech friend Cory and a few dutiful Czech & Slovak racers have found a great track for us on the edge of Prague’s center. There will be a classic cyclo-cross race on Saturday just after midday. Then with the good weather that the Czechs promise for the next day, on Sunday Cory and company will take whoever wants to stick around for some local riding on some fine gravel and cross-style exploration around Prague.
For those already in the Czech Republic or who have never joined us to race in Dresden and have no idea what to expect, plan for a bit of irreverent racing in circles. All bikes and riders are welcome from fat bikes to proper cyclocross race bikes. Some of us are serious and competitive, while others will just be happy to get to ride, hang out together, and share a few beers.

We’ll share the secret location of the race by email a few days ahead of time, but it will be just a short ride from one of Prague’s metro stations. There will be prizes for both men’s and women’s winners, plus some other lucky riders. And some food and drinks for everyone who shows up to race. Bring something warm for after racing as we’ll likely hang around to enjoy each other’s company and share stories.

How does the registration works? After your online registration you will receive all informations to the race 2 or 3 days before the race day. Be fast, the limit of the participants is only 60 starters per race. If you are girl there is no limit and even no entry fee. If you are a boy you need to bring the entry fee to the final registration at the race day.

Česky: Pokračujeme 14. ledna 2017 výletem za Železnou oponu – Praha volá! Veloheld Cyclo Cross Cup vyráží na “školní výlet” ke kamarádům do Prahy, na další zastávku ve své sedmé závodní sezóně – “Praha Pivo Cross”. A co na vás čeká? Náš čechoamerický kamarád Cory se svými českými a slovenskými parťáky našel skvělou trať na okraji centra města. V sobotu krátce po poledni odstartuje klasický cyklokrosový závod, pak v neděli vyrazíme pod taktovkou Coryho a spol. prozkoumat šotolinu a terén v okolí Prahy. Počasí je objednáno!

Pro místní jezdce, kteří se nikdy neúčastnili krosových závodů v Drážďanech a netuší, co očekávat, ve Veloheld Cyclo Cross Cupu jde hlavně o radost ze závodění. Všechny typy kol a jezdců jsou vítány, fat biky počínaje a cyklokrosovými závodními speciály konče. Někteří z nás to se závoděním myslí vážně, pro jiné je to dobrá záminka vyrazit na kolo, užít si srandy s kamarády a dát si pivo, nebo dvě. Registrace předem u Veloheld.

Přesné místo závodu vám prozradíme e-mailem pár dní předem, ale můžete počítat s tím, že se nachází jenom kousek od jedné ze stanic metra. Ceny jsou přichystané jak pro závodníky, tak pro závodnice a pár dalších šťastlivců. Bude na vás taky čekat občerstvení. A nezapomeňte si doma teplé oblečení, závodem zábava nekončí!

Pospěšte si, počet účastníků je omezene na celkem 60. Pokud jsi žena, neplatí pro Tebe žádný limitní počet ani neplatíš registrační poplatek. Pokud jsi muž, vezmi poplatek k registraci v den závodu. Nějaké jídlo a pití bude připraveno při závodě. Jestli víte o sponzoru piva, napište nám!

The last race in February 2017 will once again be organized by our friends from the R.C.U. – this time it’s called
Lumberjack Cross
. Anyone who knows the boys knows that it’s going to be a pretty funny affair. Nevertheless, there will of course also be some sport, as the overall victory at the CCC 16/17 is at stake. The exact coordinates for the race will be revealed a few days before the race.

Henri and Paul will show you the most cross tracks around Dresden on Saturday at the LMBJCK CROSS RIDE.
Depending on the weather, the tour will be around 30 – 60 km long and a stop at a confectioner’s is also planned. Start is 11 a.m. right here:
