INTROMarrakesh Brown, our standard colour for the veloheld.iconX gravel bike, is warm, earthy and timeless. It comes with a PI ROPE wheelset featuring gold textile spokes, a carbon fork and a power metre. Anyone who orders a gravel bike like this clearly has a plan, and that plan is: to be as robust and fast as possible, whilst looking absolutely brilliant.

The Color

The steel frame in Marrakesh Brown, the carbon fork also in the same colour as the frame and, to top it off, silver detailing. This creates a harmonious, uniform look. To match, the Schwalbe G-One RS Pro 45mm was chosen, featuring a tyre sidewall in a warm brown shade.

The wheels

PI ROPE Gravel with DUKE World Runner X 25/28 rims, spokes in gold. That is the detail, which makes this setup a real eye-catcher: golden spokes on a hand-welded steel frame in Marrakesh Brown. Delicious.
Vectran textile spokes, handcrafted in Chemnitz, ultra-light and with a cushioning that you notice on gravel straight away and then you won’t want to be without it. The complete wheelset weighs just 1,355 1,355 grams. For a gravel wheelset of this quality it’s hard to beat. More about PI ROPE and our friendship can be found in in our [blog post about PI ROPE].

The drive

SRAM Force XPLR 1 × 13-speed, shown here with a power metre, 42-tooth chainring and 170mm crankset. Good to know: a power metre measures the power in watts that you apply to the pedals, for anyone who wants to tailor their training rather than just riding by feel. Ritchey WSC Butano handlebars at 420mm, 90mm stem – clean and well thought-out. And anyone who opts for the ultra-light PI ROPE wheels and then adds a carbon fork to the mix clearly has a plan when it comes to weight.

That's the full picture.

Marrakesh Brown, golden PI ROPE spokes, power meter and a hand-welded steel frame, which proves, that robust and fast are not a contradiction at all. Do you want to build your veloheld.iconX own?
