INTROThe new veloheld.iron MTB is the perfect choice for anyone looking for a versatile and robust mountain bike that will impress on any terrain. This bike combines the sustainable frame material CrMo steel, a geometry that is not too extreme and suitable components to offer you maximum riding fun and reliability - whether you are out on trails or planning longer bikepacking tours.

The new frame

Robust and tough: the frame made from Reynolds 853 DZB tubes

The frame of the veloheld.iron consists of high-quality CrMo tubes and a Reynolds 853 DZB top and down tube, a steel material known for its high strength and durability. The use of these double-butted tubes not only optimizes the weight of the frame, but also significantly increases its load-bearing capacity. The advantage of this material is particularly evident on descents on rough terrain, as it absorbs shocks well and ensures a comfortable ride. The Reynolds tubes offer the necessary robustness without sacrificing the comfort and flexibility that make steel frames so popular. Another advantage is of course the sustainability of steel, which can be recycled without any problems. Try that with a carbon frame…

Perfect geometry for full control

During development, we attached great importance to a balanced geometry that ensures maximum control in all riding situations. The agile front guarantees fun on technical terrain, while the compact rear provides the necessary stability on fast descents. Whether flowing trails, technical passages or long tours – the veloheld.iron feels at home everywhere.

Technical highlight: UDH dropouts and T47 bottom bracket shell

With the SRAM UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) dropouts, you are future-proof on the road. This derailleur hanger system protects your gears and is easy to replace in the event of a defect. In addition, the veloheld.iron frame has a T47 bottom bracket for the best stiffness when pedaling and a tidy look thanks to the internal cable routing.

Flatmount brakes for MTBs?

Of course, why not? As we wanted to integrate the brake nicely into the rear frame triangle, we opted for an FM160 brake mount. Many brakes are now also available in a flat mount design. Our absolute favorite brake, the Hope RX4, fits perfectly on the bike even without an adapter and is really powerful! But almost all MTB brakes from Shimano are also available in this standard.

Local welding – built in Leipzig!

Every veloheld.iron frame is manufactured in our own workshop in Leipzig. This means we have full control over the entire production process – from the first cut to the final weld. Our experienced frame builders Lukas and Sören place great emphasis on precision and attention to detail to ensure that every frame meets our high standards of quality and durability.
