INTROSpecial editions have to come to an end eventually. You know that when you make them—and so the last veloheld.iconX in the Female Explorer design is leaving our workshop. Honestly, we’re a little sad about it. But what a way to go out.

What makes this veloheld.iconX special?

At first glance, it’s obviously the stunning graphics. The Female Explorer design was the inspiration—for all the FLINTAs out there, whether on gravel, in the woods, or on long rides through uncharted terrain. But with this bike, it doesn’t stop at the graphics. The choice of components clearly makes this a dream build.

The frame

Made in the Czech Republic with a level of care that’s hard to find. Steel as it should be—durable, robust, and full of character. The carbon fork in the frame’s color really ties the whole look together.

The Build

This Female Explorer isn’t quite the classic stock build you’d usually see; instead, the customer had a few different requests.
SRAM Force AXS E1, 1×13-speed, with a power meter built right into the crank. Electronic, precise, with power data for anyone who wants to know what’s really going on. That’s the kind of setup we love. 170 mm crank, 38 teeth, 10-46 cassette—a range that really works everywhere.
What remained standard: the cockpit with Ritchey WCS – VentureMax handlebars at 400 mm with a 70 mm stem and Ergon BT Allroad handlebar tape in Merlot.
The SQlab 614 Ergowave saddle, 14 cm wide, so that even long days in the saddle are simply fun.
DT Swiss G1800 27.5″ wheels with XDR freehub, Panaracer gravelking tires set up – light, fast, with grip when it counts.
A little highlight: the light. Here, a Lupine SL Grano mounted via the Ritchey Stem Mount ensures sufficient visibility in the dark.

What do you think of the bike?
